The opening of the exhibition “Folk textile of Bashkortostan” took place in Heidelberg, Germany Works of masters of the republic will be on display at the Maxberg Textile Museum until May 20.
The participants were welcomed by the Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Frankfurt am Main Dinar Akhmatgaliyev. The official opening ceremony was attended by the official delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Director General of the Republican Center for Folk Art, Artur Alibakov, addressed the gathering. He read a welcome address from the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, which, in particular, states:
“Today’s event is a kind of bridge connecting two different cultures that unite the love of work, art and creativity. It is gratifying that we are interested in our cultures, because it becomes especially important on the eve of the preparation and holding in the Republic of Bashkortostan of the largest international festival of traditional culture - the 6th World Folklore of the International Council of organizations of festivals of folklore and traditional arts (CIOFF®). ”
Artur Aidarovich thanked Dr. Freder Hepp, Director of the Kurpfalz Museum, Dr. Christine Scherer, Director of the Maxberg Textiles Museum, our compatriot Dinara Danielle and others for their help in organizing and holding the exhibition.
