March 16 in M.V. Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum will host the opening of an exhibition of works by the Honored Artist of Bashkortostan, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR Alexei Kuznetsov (1927-1990).

The exposition will be dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the artist's birth. The beginning at 17.00 in the museum.

Kuznetsov Alexey Alexandrovich was born on April 11, 1927 in Ufa. He studied at the vocal department of the Ufa Theater and Art School from 1945 to 1947. Alexei Alexandrovich sang beautifully, he had a wonderful bass, he also wrote lyrical poems and articles about art. I studied at the famous teacher Lyubov Nikolaevna Troitskaya - and even hesitated for some time whether to devote myself to singing.

The formation of Kuznetsov's work as an artist was influenced by the artist Porfiry Markovich Lebedev, who taught at that time in the school.

From 1948 to 1950 years. Studied at the Kharkov Art Institute. From 1953 to 1976 he worked in the Bashkir workshops of the Art Fund of the RSFSR. He conducted a great public work: he was elected a member of the board of the Bashkir Artists' Union, a member of the Art Council at the Bashkir workshops of the Art Fund of the RSFSR. He was elected deputy of the Ufa City Council of Working People's Deputies (1956). Since 1975, he lived and worked in Kuibyshev (Samara).

As for the artist's work, he worked in easel and monumental painting.

In the sixties he created mosaic panels and paintings of a number of public buildings in Ufa: the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater. M. Gafuri (together with R. Nurmukhametov, L. Mugtobarov), the Palace of Culture of the Ufa Engine Plant (together with V. Pustarnakov, S. Litvinov), the Sports Palace in Ufa (together with FA Kashcheev, L. Ya. Krugel, SA Litvinov, RN Nafikov, VP Pustarnakova), the Palace of Culture in Salavat (1961) (together with A. Burzyantsev, P. Skvortsov), Sgraffito Palace of Culture of Kumertau, BASSR, 1966. (Together with Mugtobarov, V. Pozdnov, G. Mukhametshin, A. Platonov).

Kuznetsov stood at the origins of the creation of the Republican Society of Fine Arts, gave a lot of energy to the children's art school in Ordzhonikidzevsky district of Ufa retained its independent status. He was also the organizer of republican conferences on problems of art education, the author of many articles on this subject.

Kuznetsov often traveled to the Burzyan district of Bashkortostan, knew the Bashkir language and spoke with the locals there. So there were pictures "Burzyan Bear", "Dinislam Babai", "Legend of Kuray" and others, based on Bashkir national motives. Later in the work of Kuznetsov, the themes of Ancient Rus and Russian mythology arise.

The main paintings of Alexei Kuznetsov are "Interrogation of Salavat Yulaev" (1953-55), "Lane", x. M., 1957, "Portrait of a son", х. M., 1960, "The Legend of the Kurai," x. M., 1961-1963. "Burzyan women" (1965-70), "The girl with sunflowers", х. M., 1969, "Shooting" x. M., 1974-1977 and many others.

Alexey Alexandrovich died on November 4, 1990 in Moscow.
