The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, is on a working trip to Moscow today. At a meeting with the Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova, he discussed the prospects for federal funding to reconstruct and repair cultural sites of all-Russian importance in Ufa.
"One of the most important areas of the Ufa anniversary preparation is our State Circus, which has been closed since 2017, which is painful for children and their parents. I have heard about this more than once at our meetings. Further, we have a magnificent Puppet Theater with great traditions. However, it also needs renovation. The actors there lack normal dressing rooms, there is no canteen in the theater, but what is a children's performance without ice cream during the intermission? Here, of course, children's studios should also work, which have nowhere to locate. We need to build a modern annex. Then — our Russian Drama Theater. Light and sound have not been updated here since they were built in 1982! The stage and hall have not been renovated for 20 years," Radiy Khabirov posted on his social media.
According to him, Bashkortostan needs large modern libraries, which are now becoming the most important cultural objects — public educational centers, where coworking spaces, hobby clubs operate, lectures, and activities for children and families are held.
In 2020, the Blagovarsky district's Central Library was included in the list of winners of the national competition to create model libraries and received 15 million rubles for the modernization, renewal of book collections, and library space.
