March 17 marked the 80th anniversary of the birth of dancer and choreographer Rudolf Nureyev.

In honor of this date, the opening of the international cultural project "Nureyev Seasons" was held at the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic Society. It includes: the Bolshoi Theater, the Moscow Academic Music Theater named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko, the State Tretyakov Gallery and other cultural institutions.

The project started by showing the documentary "Rudolf Nureyev. The rebellious demon ": it was presented to the audience by the crew of the film company" Svoi Pocherk "and the People's Artist of Russia, the author of the project" Russian seasons of the XXI century "Andris Liepa.

And on March 17, at the end of the festival "Ufa.Nureev" a Gala concert was organized in which the students of the Bashkir Choreographic College, artists of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater and laureates of international competitions took part. Also on this day in Ufa the choreographic workshop "Rudi dance lab" was opened - a new cultural and educational project aimed at the continuation and development of Bashkir, Russian and world ballet art. The curator and artistic director of the choreographic studio became the famous choreographer and ballet dancer, resident of the "London Russian Ballet School" Dmitry Antipov.

The events of the Nureyevsky Seasons are planned to be held not only in Russia: in St. Petersburg, Ufa, Kazan, but also abroad: in Paris, Rome, Berlin and New York.
