June 18 at the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the participation and assistance of the Chairman of the State Assembly - Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev, the opening of the Forgotten Names exhibition, timed to the 78th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War, was held.
The exposition is dedicated to prisoners of war who died in German concentration camps. It was conceived on the basis of the materials that were handed over by the head of the Northern Amuras military history club I.M. Yulbarisovym.
The exhibition introduces the soldiers of the Red Army, who by the will of fate were captured by the enemy in the period 1941-1943 and later became prisoners of the Zeithite concentration camp in Germany. All represented Soviet soldiers died in captivity, and are natives of Bashkortostan and neighboring regions.
The exposition is supplemented by a series of items from the funds of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, memories of captured defenders of the Brest Fortress, objects from battle sites, etc.
