On March 30, the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan will host the grand opening of the Name in History exhibition, commemorating the outstanding archaeologist, public and political figure Niyaz Abdulkhakovich Mazhitov. The exhibition is timed to the 100th anniversary of Russian academic archeology and the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Regional Public Organization “Archaeological Society of the Republic of Bashkortostan”.

The exhibition covers the entire life and career of one of the most prominent representatives of the Soviet and Russian archaeological science of the second half of the XX - early XXI centuries.

The exhibition will feature personal items N.A. Mazhitova: photos, diplomas and certificates, award signs, state awards of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The complex of personal belongings was given by the daughter and associate of NA Mazhitova, Ph.D. in History, archaeologist Alfia Sultanova. For the first time, unique archeology items from the collections of Niyaz Abdulhakovich will be exhibited - jewelry, including precious metals, household items, weapons, stored in the funds of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The event starts at 10 o'clock.

The exhibition will host the Final Scientific Session of the Regional Public Organization “Archaeological Society of the Republic of Belarus” “Results of archaeological work in the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2018”. Leading scientists of the Republic, museum workers, public and political figures, including representatives of the World Kurultai Bashkir, the State Guard Department of the State Heritage of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Bashkir State University are invited to the event.
