As part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the grand opening of the “1917 Revolution” exhibition hall took place at the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova, Head of the Representative Office of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Law, Historian Rafael Zinnurov, Chairman of the Regional Branch of the Russian Military Historical Society in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Candidate of Historical Sciences Rakhimov Ramil, public personalities, etc.

“We are lucky with you that we are here now and celebrate such a date - the 100th anniversary of the formation of our republic. On behalf of the Government, I thank the leadership of the museum and the Ministry of Culture for such a gift to all residents of the republic, ”said Lenara Khakimovna opening the exhibition.

Also acting the vice-premier stressed that it is necessary to acquaint all residents of the republic and guests of the capital with this exhibition.

Speaking about the historical significance of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the republic, Ramil Rakhimov noted that this is not just an anniversary, but a tribute to the memory of our ancestors, who were able to withstand and then build our present.

“We are opening a reconsidered hall of that long-standing century-old era, when the country faced a difficult choice - there was war and famine. In these difficult circumstances, the people of the republic made the right important decisions, so now we are witnessing a flourishing republic, ”said the head of the regio-division of the WIO.

The renewed exposition, which consists of three halls, presents the themes: the February revolution, political activity between February and October, the establishment of Soviet power. The second hall introduces the events of the Civil War that unfolded as a result of the Dutov mutiny and the uprising of the Czechoslovaks. The possibilities of a peaceful transfer of power, the activities of the Ufa Directory, military operations on the Eastern Front between the two dictatorships are considered.
