Exhibition of paintings by People's Artist of USSR Akhmat Lutfullin opens in Ufa

On November 11, the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan opens an exhibition of paintings by the People's Artist of the USSR Akhmat Lutfullin, "I am the son of my land." It will feature paintings from the collection of the Abzelilovsky Museum of History and Local Lore.

As the editor of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan Nuriya Kinzyabaeva informed the Bashinform News Agency, the exhibition was prepared at the expense of a grant from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan to cultural and art workers for 2020.

The exhibition will run at the National Museum RB until December 11, 2020. A video presentation of the exhibition will be posted on the National Museum's official website and on social media.

Akhmat Fatkullovich Lutfullin (1928-2007) is a master of the Bashkir school of painting, People's Artist of the USSR, laureate of the Salavat Yulaev Republican Prize, a full member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Lutfullin's paintings are stored in leading museums and galleries in Bashkortostan and Russia, as well as in private collections.

The artist's style is called "Bashkir neo-realism". His favorite genre was a portrait. Akhmat Lutfullin's portrait painting is traditionally focused on the idea of ​​the beauty and strength of the human spirit, aimed at conveying the national character's traits in the depicted images.
