Ten cities, more than three hundred performers of traditional music from professional and amateur groups, about a hundred thousand spectators - the result of a ten-day journey of the festival “Marathon of Russia” in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The festival program was attended by groups and soloists from different regions of Russia: Nadezhda Babkina and artists of the Russian Song Theater, the State Cossack Song Ensemble Krynitsa (Krasnodar), Yakutia People’s Artist and throat singing artist Albina Degtyareva, the Governor’s Dance Theater Siberian Kaleidoscope "(Kemerovo), Ethno-rock group" Argymak "(Republic of Bashkortostan) Dulists Ensemble" Rhythms of the Mountains "(Vladikavkaz), Ethnographic Folk Studio" Merema "(Saransk), Folklore Ensemble" Aylanys "(Abakan) , Ethno-p OK ARGYMAK group (Ufa). The participants of amateur performances - representatives of the best creative teams of the Republic of Bashkortostan, winners of various music competitions and festivals in the region, the country and beyond - performed on the same stage with professional performers.

The festival participants gave charity concerts in the cities of Blagoveshchensk, Birsk, Ufa, Belebei, Salavat, Meleuz, Sterlitamak, Beloretsk, Sibay, Uchaly. Everywhere they were waited for by a warm welcome and notices - city squares were filled to capacity with people who came to listen to the traditional music of different peoples of Russia.

Ufa and Sterlitamak were waiting for another great gift - master classes by Nadezhda Babkina and artists of the Russian Song ensemble were held in these cities. Here Nadezhda Georgievna met with the leaders and participants of amateur creative teams, students and teachers of music colleges, art schools and just connoisseurs of folk song culture. She shared with them her own work experience with the Russian Song ensemble performing traditional song material. The artists demonstrated a unique system of vocal chanting, exercises, showed features of the technique of performing folk songs.

The final point of the route was a big concert on the square in front of the Park of Culture and Recreation in the city of Uchaly, which turned one more page in the creative biography of the All-Russian festival-marathon “Songs of Russia”.
