In 2017, for the first time, the Open Republican Contest of Young Vocalists named after Salavat Nizametdinov was held in Uchalinsky College of Arts and Culture; a museum dedicated to the life and work of the composer was opened.

On March 5-6, 2019, young vocalists again came to the city of Uchaly to take part in the II Open Republican Contest of Young Vocalists named after Salavat Nizametdinov. These are students of music colleges from Ufa, Salavat, Oktyabrsk, Sibay, Uchalov, as well as students of the Ufa Institute of Arts. Z. Ismagilova. Auditions were held in 2 rounds in three age groups in two nominations - academic and pop singing.

The contestants were assessed by an authoritative and strict jury composed of: the chairman of the jury - professor, head of the department of vocal art at the O.R. Z. Ismagilova, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus - Sagitova Farzana Fatkullovna. Professor, Head of the Department of Ethnomuscology, OIII them. Z. Ismagilova, Ph.D. in Art History, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus - Nekhla Vasilievna Akhmetzhanova. Professor of the Department of Vocal Art at the UGII. Z. Ismagilova, soloist of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan - Abdulmanov Yamil Abdulakhatovich.

The competition was held thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the Republican Educational and Methodological Center for Education of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the Ufa State Institute of Arts. Z. Ismagilova. The repertoire of the contest participants includes romances of Russian and foreign composers, ancient arias and folk songs. Under the terms of the contest, each participant must also perform one of the works of Salavat Nizametdinov. Indeed, one of the objectives of the competition is to promote the creative heritage of S. Nizametdinov and the Bashkir song musical art.
