Rasikh Akhmetvaliev exhibition opens in St. Petersburg

On August 12, the "Warm Wind" exhibition by Rasikh Akhmetvaliev opens in St. Petersburg. The exposition will be located in the exhibition wing on the fourth floor of the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art. This is the first exhibition of the artist in St. Petersburg.

  It is not the first time that Erarta presents Ufa contemporary art: several years ago, the museum hosted a large exhibition, "UFAlogy", where the works of Rasikh Akhmetvaliev were also presented. The work of the current exhibition will last until October 12. The museum is located in St. Petersburg on the 29th line of Vasilievsky Island, building 2.

Rasikh Akhmetvaliev — Honored Artist of Bashkortostan, member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, became a laureate of the Nikolai Peganov Prize. He started his career in the mid-80s. His name is associated with the well-known group "Genghis Khan", whose exhibitions and projects he subsequently took an active part in. In 2001-2008, Akhmetvaliev lived in France, where he collaborated with the Bartoux and Visio Dell'Arte galleries. Over the years, he has presented more than 30 solo exhibitions in Russia and abroad; his works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the Novosibirsk State Art Museum, in the National Cultural Center "Kazan" and in other public and private collections.
