Today in Ufa, in order to prepare for the World Folkloriad - 2020, the opening of the All-Russian festival of sesenes (narrators) took place. Organizers: the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republican Center for Folk Art, the Committee for UNESCO of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Autonomous Autonomous Non-Profit Organization for the Development of Folklore Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The general director of the Republican Center for Folk Art Arthur Alibakov and Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, holder of the Order of S. Yulaev, Rozalia Sultangareeva, spoke with a welcoming speech. The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the departed custodians of folklore.

Guests from the Republics of Mari El, Dagestan, Sakha (Yakutia), Komi, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, as well as districts and cities of the Republic of Bashkortostan arrived at the festival.

According to the draw, the participant of the All-Russian “Blue Bird” competition from Uchalinsky district Lyaysan Zolotaryova was the first to speak.

In total, more than 50 participants will perform during the competition day. Their skill is assessed by the jury, which includes: manaschi, Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, Associate Professor, Professor Emeritus of the Issyk-Kul K. Tynystanov State University Talantaly Bakchiev; poet, writer, folklorist, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Karpukhin; poet, playwright, editor-in-chief of the republican youth magazine “Shonkar”, laureate of the Republican Youth Award. S. Babicha Munir Kunafin; director of the autonomous non-profit organization for the development of folklore "Center of Sesenov RB", deputy general director of the Republican Center of Folk Art, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Nafisa Tulybaeva; poetess, translator, journalist, laureate of the Republican Youth Award. S. Babicha, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Larisa Abdullina, Chief Expert on Folklore, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Secretary of the Jury Gulgina Baymurzina.
