In Ufa, the II International Festival of Opera Art “Chaliapin Evenings in Ufa” ended with a gala concert. The event was attended by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova.

On the stage of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater were opera singers from Russia and the near abroad, including the winners of the 2nd International Feodor Shalyapin International Vocal Competition - Goderdzi Dzhanelidze (Georgia), Kayum Shodiarov (Uzbekistan), Guldan Aldadosov (Kazakhstan) and Evgeny Sevastyanov (Russia).

The concert program opened with an overture to the opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet performed by the BGTOiB Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the Theater Principal Conductor, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Golden Mask Russian National Theater Award Artyom Makarov.

The masterpieces of world opera were performed by the soloists of Bashopera: People’s Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Elvira Fatykhova, Honored Artists of the Republic of Bashkortostan Larisa Akhmetova, Vladimir Kopytov and Artur Kaipkulov, laureates of international and Russian competitions Lyubov Butorina, Jan Leyshe, Artem Golubev and Galina Cheplakova.
