Ufa will host XXIV International Pink Panther Jazz Festival from April 2 to 4 2021.
Due to restrictions due to the pandemic, the Pink Panther never took place last year. But this year, the Ufa public will finally be pleased with world-class stars, the press service of the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society reports.
The headliner of the 2021 project is singer and trumpet player Ronald Baker (France, USA), who has performed in Ufa several times.
One of the leading multi-instrumentalists, composers, and vocalists of Brazil, a follower of romantic Latin American jazz, Joander Santos, will come for the first time to the capital of Bashkortostan.
Another of the festival's debutants is a unique musician who brilliantly performs academic and jazz music, laureate of prestigious vocal and jazz competitions, and finalist of the country's main competition, "Voice-2020" Oleg Akkuratov (Moscow).
The brand of Bashkir jazz will be supported by our eminent compatriots and regular participants of the festival — Ostin Jazz Band Irina Austin and Big-band BGF Oleg Kasimov.
The Pink Panther Gala will take place on April 4 to feature only the best names and the best performances of the International Jazz Festival.
All three days of the festival — Kirill Moshkov (Moscow), a significant figure in Russian jazz, Russian journalist, jazz columnist, writer, musician, publisher, and editor-in-chief of the Jazz.Ru magazine, editor-in-chief of the leading Russian jazz website will be on stage.
