Today, October 20, in the capital of the republic, festive events dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding countryman, the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim, took place.

Numerous admirers of Mustafa Safic, his relatives and friends, as well as residents and guests of Ufa gathered in Mustai Karim Square. Guests of honor and all those present attended the flower-laying ceremony at the monument to Mustai Karim. At the official part of the event, the greeting of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky was read out.

Actors of the National Youth Theater proclaimed the works of the poet, sounded the key points of his biography. The screen showed footage from the life of Mustafa Safich, as well as songs written in his poems. Many kind words were said to the poet of the people of Bashkortostan and his family.

In the evening, the State Academic Russian Drama Theater of the Republic of Bashkortostan hosted an updated show of the play “The Moon and Leaf Falls” based on Mustai Karim’s pardon. For the first time the production was presented in 2006. On the eve of the 100th anniversary of Mustai Karim, the performance re-entered the repertoire with young leading actors.

The authors of the performance were the son of the writer Ilgiz Karimov and the famous Bashkir writer, poet and translator Aydar Khusainov. The production was created by the production director - Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan Mikhail Rabinovich, production designer - Vyacheslav Vidanov, costume designer - Tatyana Vidanova. Filming, editing, computer graphics carried out Vyacheslav Vidanov and Andrei Belyaev.

Ufimtsev will be able to see the next show of the play "The Moon and Leaf Fall" on November 1 in the Great Hall of the Rusdrama Theater. In the foyer of the theater also operates a photo exhibition dedicated to Mustai Karim.
