On the eve of the first Republican festival of the children's book theater “Taganok” was held in Ufa within the framework of the project “THEATER + BOOK”. Organizers: Centralized System of Children's Libraries in Ufa, Bashkir State Puppet Theater. The event is timed to the opening of the Year of Theater in Russia, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the republic.

The festival program featured puppet shows by amateur theater groups, based on the works of Mustai Karim and based on Bashkir folk tales. 13 theater creative associations at children's libraries from all over the country gathered to show their talents. It is worth noting that even the dolls and decorations were made by the participants themselves.

The jury consisted of: People's Artist of Russia and Bashkortostan Airat Akhmetshin, chief artist of the BGTK Andrei Volkov, head of the literary section of the BGTK Diana Garayeva, director of the Centralized System of Children's Libraries in Ufa Alfiya Yunusova and famous Ufa bard and poet Nikolai Grakhov.

“Young theater-goers worked with great enthusiasm, with trepidation and inspiration, among them were very talented guys who could also realize themselves in the future of the actor-puppeteer profession,” said the press secretary of the puppet theater Diana Garayeva.

Within the framework of the festival, a master class on puppelling from stage master Ayrat Akhmetshin was organized, where beginner puppeteers could see and learn all the subtleties of this work, learn about the typical mistakes of newcomers and ask their questions.

In addition, the festival participants learned about the growing direction, called “baby-theater” and watched the play “Why is spring red?” Of the Bashkir State Puppet Theater, created specifically for the youngest audience.

Each team was awarded with diplomas and prizes. At the closing of the festival, the director of the puppet theater Albert Imamutdinov expressed his gratitude to the participants and wished not to stop there, to believe in themselves and continue to create.
