The third day of the International Festival of Turkic Theaters “Tuganlyk” began with a meeting of the cabinet of national theaters of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation in the House of Actor named after B. Yusupova. The meeting was led by the Secretary of the STD RF, Chairman of the Council of Republics of the STD RF, director, artistic director of the National Drama Theater named after B. Basangov of the Republic of Kalmykia, Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kalmykia, laureate of the Youth Prize of the Republic of Kalmykia, Elista Boris Mandzhiev.

The event was attended by the chairman of the Union of Theater Workers of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Akhtyam Abushakhmanov, heads of theaters, participants and members of the expert council of the festival.

On the agenda was the question of the fate of national theaters in Russia and abroad. Presentations were made by Andrei Yastrebov - Doctor of Philology, Professor, Literary Critic, Honored Worker of Higher School of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of History, Philosophy and Literature of the Russian Institute of Theatrical Art - GITIS, member of the Writers' Union and the Union of Theater Workers of Russia (Moscow); Niyaz Iglamov - theater critic, head of the literary and dramatic part of the Tatar State Academic Theater. At the discussion, they talked about the problems of training in theaters, about the employment of young directors, touched upon the themes of national and classical drama, copyright, and the organization of Turkic-speaking festivals.

The participants paid special attention to the All-Russian festival of national theaters “Federation”, which will be held in Grozny as part of the Year of Theater in the fall of 2019. The festival will be held on the basis of the Chechen State Drama Theater named after Khanpashi Nuradilov.     “Our main task is to show everything that exists in Russia. Prove that such a festival has the right to exist, ”stressed Boris Mandzhiev.

At the end of the meeting, Boris Naminovich congratulated those present on the successful start of the “Tuganlyk” festival and wished him a good continuation, creative discoveries and victories to the participants.

At 16:00 on the Small Stage of the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater named after M. Ghafuri, an unusual form of the performance of the Independent Theater dOM of the Republic of Azerbaijan was presented to the audience. The production was LIMBO (Ismail Iman), the author of which is Tarlan Rasulov. The performance “Limbo” is dedicated to the problems of people who are forced to leave their homes and settle in the transit camps. There is no separation between the stage and the audience, the actors and the audience, and therefore each observer has the opportunity to become part of the performance. The game of actors is based more on improvisation, depending on the participation in the action of the audience themselves. Therefore, there are no seats in the performance.

The evening of “Tuganlyk” turned out to be very rich. At 19 o'clock on the stage of the BADT named after M.Gafuri, the play “Marriage” by the play by N.V.     “The“ Marriage ”performance is a kind of a fantastic story, where reality and reality are mixed with the dreams and dreams of heroes, and the ending is unexpected. The theater interprets the famous play by N.V. Gogol, turning the marriage comedy into an epic story, ”say the producers of the play.

At the same time, at the National Youth Theater of the Republic of Belarus named after M. Karim, the Gagauz National Theater named after Dionys Tanasoglu (Republic of Moldova) performed the play “Dear Pamela” (J. Patrick). The director is Tural Mustafayev. The play “Dear Pamela” is an American Christmas fairy tale about the all-conquering power of good.
