September 16 at 19.00 on the stage of the concert hall of F.I. Shalyapin Ufa State Institute of Arts will host a concert of the famous "Kopelman Quartet". For the Ufa public, works by V.A. Mazart, P.I. Tchaikovsky, and also for the first time in Ufa musicians will perform the composition of the world-famous pianist Evgeny Kisin.

Note that the performance of a well-known group will take place in the framework of the Second International Violin Competition Vladimir Spivakov. Mikhail Kopelman is headed by the jury of the competition, Boris Kushnir in the jury.

The Kopelman Quartet was founded in 2002 by Mikhail Kopelman. The quartet includes outstanding musicians, graduates of the Moscow Conservatory of the 70s of the last century, the so-called "golden age". Mikhail Kopelman for 20 years was the first violin of the Borodin Quartet, then became the leader of not less eminent Tokyo string quartet; violist Igor Sulyga and cellist Mikhail Milman played for two decades in the Moscow Virtuosi Orchestra (Milman was the band's accompanist); violinist Boris Kushnir, together with Sulig, once founded the Moscow string quartet and worked with Shostakovich on his latest works for this composition.

Today, the Kopelman Quartet is rightfully considered one of the best quartets in the world. Since its inception, the band has been actively touring and giving concerts in the UK, Spain, Austria, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Canada and Russia.
