October 25 in the Ufa Art Gallery will be the opening of a personal exhibition of the painter, graphic artist, honored artist of BASSR, a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, our compatriot living now in Moscow, Eduard Shageev. The beginning at 17:00.

Eduard Mustakimovich draws his subjects from historical events, everyday scenes, human relations, from human relations to the surrounding world in the system "Man-Earth-Universe". For the artist, the content, the idea, the problem, the psychological analysis of the situation, the deep understanding of the various phenomena occurring in nature and society are important. All this is embodied in the created images, in a specific, inherent only to him, manner.

The surrealistic trend in the works of Eduard Shageev appeared around the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s, while creative upsurge coincided with the era of perestroika. Since the beginning of 1985, new hopes and new social demands have unleashed the artist, pushed him to new forms of self-expression.

Picturesque Edward Shageev's series talk about the artist's desire to attract the viewer's attention to human destinies, his unquenchable desire to irony over himself. Hardly having begun to work in such a manner, Eduard Shageev immediately found himself at the peak of popularity, getting into the very essence of the social demands of the day, and this inevitably entailed numerous publications in the press, invitations to prestigious exhibitions and to television programs.

The exhibition will last until November 18, 2017.
