The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet theater presented the new non-classic opera play based on the famous Mozart's "Don Juan" opera. The stage manager is the Honored artist of Bashkortostan, a winner of the "The Golden Mask Award" Artem Makarov, the director - a winner of the "The Golden Mask Award" Philippe Razenkov, the stage designer is Yelisey Shepelev (from Saint-Petersburg).
It is an author's intention on Don Juan's story with a focus on the 7 deadly sins which are pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth.
The charachter's costumes symbolize those deadly sins, classifying every person to one of them. And Don Juan accomodates all those 7 deadly sins.
"We are very glad that everybody here was enthusiastic about the play. We wanted to show a non-typical character. Those negative so-called "don-juan" intentions are growing in the modern society. We think, this needs to be stopped" - told Philippe Razenkov to our web-portal.
There were theatrical critics and specialists of drama studies among the guests.
"Every premiere is a stress-factor, but it opens some new perspectives for a theater" - commented the Head-chief of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet theater Ilmar Almukhametov.
This opera finishes the 81st theatrical season in the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet theater. Ufa citizens will enjoy the show tomorrow, on the 10th of July.
