Today in the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater named after M.Gafuri the premiere of the play based on the novel by Ch.Aitmatov in the stage version of Elena Baranchikova “White Cloud of Genghis Khan” was held. The premiere on the Bashkir stage was performed by the director of the National Youth Theater of the Republic of Belarus Musalim Kulbaev and guest choreographer from Moscow Irina Filippova. Premiere artist - Albert Nesterov, composer - Ural Idelbaev, lighting designer - Ilshat Sayakhov.

The new play tells of the Western campaign of the great conqueror, who did not reach the European lands, having lost the blessing of heaven. While marching to conquer the West, Genghis Khan led the people-army through the great Asian spaces. Over Genghis Khan's head all the way, shielding him from the sun, a cloud floated. Where is he - there and the cloud. The appearance of the cloud was predicted by some wandering soothsayer: "As soon as the cloud disappears, you end up with life."

In the play, Genghis Khan appears as the most real person, with his doubts and fears, without masks.

    “I try, first of all, to reveal his human sides. Yes, Genghis Khan is a conqueror, a warlord, but he is also a husband, a friend. Here there is an attempt to show this character from different sides: how does the feeling of love, friendship, duty manifest in it, ”says the leading actor Hurmatulla Utyashev.

Throughout the production, the viewer follows the struggle of light and darkness, war and love, the birth of a new man and death. Scenes of raids on the land are replaced by love lyrics, and yet the scenery on the stage is only a hypertrophied figure of a horse, a companion of all warriors, and a light that sets the right mood.

    “The main idea that Chinghiz Aitmatov wanted to convey to the reader is that a huge machine of power and war can be fought only through love and goodness. This is true today, of course. To some extent, this performance is a warning, if I may say so, ”says director Musalim Kulbaev about the production.

The leading roles in the performance are performed by Khurmatulla Utyashev, Artur Kabirov, Ziliya Sitdikova (Ilgiz Gilmanova), Sara Buranbayeva and others.
