For the first time, a concert was held in Ufa as part of "The Time of Classical Music," a federal charity event. The concert was attended by healthcare workers — coronavirus frontliners, teachers and students of musical institutions, higher education institutions in Bashkortostan, representatives of the public sector, and guests of the republic.
Concerts within the framework of the campaign have already taken place in 73 cities of Russia.
The renowned pianist — People's Artist of Russia Denis Matsuev performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan under the baton of Honored Artist of Bashkortostan, Chief Conductor Dmitry Kryukov. Matsuev pleased Ufa residents with the masterpieces of romanticism in a brilliant interpretation — the famous A Minor Concert for Piano and Orchestra by Edvard Grieg. After a long-standing ovation, the pianist delighted the audience with Rachmaninoff's Vocalise in Piano arrangement and the piece “In the Hall of the Mountain King” from the “Peer Gynt” suite by Edvard Grieg. After the performance, flowers were brought to the stage from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov.
The musician recalled his first performance in Ufa in 1993 when he was a student of the Central Music School at the Conservatory. It was a performance as part of the “New Names” project.
The pianist clarified that assistance to gifted children was provided not only in terms of their promotion but also through the purchase of musical instruments and performances with outstanding musicians and orchestras.
The concert program included young talents who began their career in music but already held titles of prestigious music competitions. Brothers Matvey and Timofey Blumins are violin virtuosos from Moscow; they performed in Ufa for the first time. Their touring schedule is scheduled for years ahead, and the total number of wins at the most prestigious music competitions is several dozen.
The program was continued by the Ufa musician, winner of international competitions, scholarship holder of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, student of the Secondary Special Music College Eva Minniakhmetova, and winner of the Silver Medal of the Delphic Games Polina Domracheva.
