Christian von Blohn, a famous organist from Saarbrücken (Germany), performed on the stage of the Bashkir State Philharmonic K. Akhmetov today. He prepared an interesting and exquisite program for Ufa music lovers. The compositions of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Johann Sebastian Bach, Dieterich Buxtehude and César Franck were performed this evening.
Musician told us in the interview that he is currently on russian tour. He already visited Yekaterinburg and Penza. Then he heads to Chelyabinsk and Novosibirsk.
"The organ in Ufa is mechanical. It is good for baroque and romantic compositions. And the instruments in other cities of tour are different. They are good for symphonical music. I had been to Moscow earlier, but this is my first time in those cities", - he said.
He also noticed, that organs are typical for Russia only in philharmonics, unlike for Germany, where the instrument is usually constructed in churches. This is why the public in Russia perceives organ music differently. Christian is a church organist himself.
The audience was very impressed by the masterly play of german guest.
