From May 18 to 21, the Perm Academic Theater-Theater (TT) is on tour for the first time on the stage of the Russian Drama Theater in Ufa. The collective has gained authority with experimental stagings, a modern interpretation of the classics, and has become a cultural brand, one of the signatures of the Perm Territory.
Today, TT's repertoire includes dramatic and plastic performances, rock operas and musicals, experimental multi-genre projects, and concert performances. Theater-Theater actively promotes and develops a new stage direction — Russian musical.
Since 2004, the theater's art director is Boris Milgram — director, teacher, laureate, and repeated nominee for the Golden Mask award. The original tautological name of the theater appeared in 2007, when the theater went beyond the drama and combined different genres and forms on one platform, became a theater of theaters.
Permians brought four performances of different genres to Ufa. On May 18, the tour opened with the play "Enough Stupidity in Every Wise Man" — a theatrical adventure in the genre of sparkling Russian vaudeville based on Ostrovsky's play.
The Perm Academic Theater-Theater is a regular participant in regional, Russian and international festivals, including the country's main theater award "Golden Mask". At the moment, the theater has 9 Golden Masks (awards were given to the musicals Scarlet Sails, Eight Women, and Vinyl) and 56 nominations. Ten performances of the Theater-Theater are included in the LongList award.
