In Ufa "Tuganlyk" International Festival of Turkic Theaters continues its program. In the morning there was a discussion of three performances that were shown yesterday - the immersive performance of the Independent Theater dOM of the Republic of Azerbaijan “Limbo” (Ismail Iman, directed by Tarlan Rasulov), staged by the Crimean Tatar State Academic Music and Drama Theater “Marriage” by N.V. Gogol (Directed by Vladimir Magar), the play “Dear Pamela” (J. Patrick) of the Gagauz National Theater named after Dionysus Tanasoglu (Republic of Moldova) directed by Azerbaijani director Tural Mustafayev.
The members of the expert council are Boris Morozov (Moscow), Sania Kabdieva (Alma-Aty, Kazakhstan), Andrey Yastrebov (Moscow), Tatyana Dzhurova (St. Petersburg), Olga Egoshina (Moscow), Niaz Iglamov (Kazan), Galina Verbitskaya (Ufa) and Khurmatulla Utyashev (Ufa) - discussed the performances and noted the uniqueness and value of each, examining the director's and acting work, expressed their own wishes. Experts at the discussion talked about the creative search for each theater, about the prospect, potential of theater companies. At the end of the discussion, the participants thanked the speakers for the analysis of their performances, expressed their gratitude to the festival "Tuganlyk" for the opportunity to show their performances to viewers from other republics and venerable theater experts.
In the evening at 19 o'clock on the stage of the Ufa State Tatar Theater "Nur" a sixth competitive performance was shown. The “Taganok” production was presented to the Ufa public by the team of the Sterlitamak State Concert and Theater Association. The performance “Taganok” based on the story of the elder of the Bashkir dramaturgy Mustai Karim in the dramatization and staging of the Moscow director Anton Fedorov is the most large-scale performance of the Bashkir dramatic theater SGTKO. The director, while maintaining a careful and reverent attitude to the author, brought the classic material of Bashkir literature to a new level of modern artistic thinking.
At 10 pm in the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater named after M. Ghafuri, a non-competitive program presented the performance of the Salavat State Bashkir Drama Theater “Berushi” (“Ber, Ike, өс ...”, O. Zhanaydarov) directed by Ilsur Kazakbaev. In the chamber space (spectators and actors are located on the stage) the problem of the national language is revealed: honestly, truthfully and without false patriotism. Renaming the Kazakh heroes of the play to Bashkir Bulat and Urazbai, the director set a warning performance, raising the acute social theme to the level of a universal tragedy, where the biblical story about original sin is the leitmotif. The play “Earplugs” - about the lost generation, about the end, that the loss of language is the loss of roots, the loss of home and self-identity.
Tomorrow, May 27, theatrical groups of Turkey and Kazakhstan will present their competitive performances to the Ufa audience and expert council.
