Bashkir Puppet Theatre celebrates 85-year anniversary

February 5, Bashkir State Puppet Theatre celebrates significant date - the 85th anniversary of its establishment. Gala evening dedicated to the anniversary is scheduled for March 21. Date was not chosen by accident - on that day all the world marks the International Day of the puppeteer.

On this day, the theater will delight its guests with a preview of the most anticipated premiere of the anniversary season - a performance for adults based on oriental tales "Thousand and One Nights" in the statement which invited winners of the "Golden Mask" award - director Petr Vasiliev and production designer Alevtina Torik of city ​​of St. Petersburg.
 
Over the 85 years of its existence, the theater has come a long way of development, has accumulated a wealth of creative experience. The originality of the creative image of the Bashkir State Puppet Theatre, the uniqueness of the prevailing therein traditions recognized not only in Russia but also abroad: the theater is marked by diplomas at various festivals of international format in Hungary, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and in 1987 the theater was awarded the International named award Jawaharlal Nehru for the play "The Indian legend." Each year, a puppet theater goes to festivals in a variety of cities in Russia, and always brings out meritorious.
