Prominent Russian director Alexander Sokurov may soon embark on making a film about the Louvre, news agencies quoted Russian producer Andrei Sigle as saying on Thursday.
He said that the administration of the Louvre Museum had already asked Sokurov to produce a film which Sigle explained could become something of a follow-up to Sokurov’s Russian Ark.
This historical drama was filmed exclusively in the Winter Palace of the Russian State Hermitage Museum with the help of a single 96-minute Steadicam sequence shot in 2002.
