April 1, the International Laughter Day, at the National Library named after A.-Z. Validi hosted a creative performance of the outstanding Bashkir Soviet and Russian satirist and humorist, poet, publicist, people's writer of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation and the BUSR, holder of the Order of Friendship Marcel Salimov (Mar. Salim).

And this year, on April 1, the national satirist with his team “Mar. Salim and K°” held a jubilee-humorous world meeting dedicated to events from the satirical life of the people of our planet: the 100th anniversary of the first Bashkir Soviet satirical magazine “Babich”, the 80th anniversary of the creation of the satirical poem by Mustai Karim “Ulmyasbai”, 50- the anniversary of the opening of the Gabrovo Museum "International House of Humor and Satire", the 40th anniversary of the section of humor and satire of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the 30th anniversary of the magazine "Hanak", the 20th anniversary of the publication of the first volume of the first satirical two-volume book in the history of Bashkir literature, etc.
