April 7 marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of the artist Alexander Panteleev

April 7 is the 90th anniversary of the birth of the artist, set designer, public figure, one of the greatest masters of fine arts, the Honored Artist of Russia and Bashkortostan Alexander Panteleev.

Alexander Vasilyevich was born on April 7, 1932 in the city of Velikiye Luki. The painter received his professional education at the Ufa Theater and Art School (now the Ufa School of Arts). One of the artist's teachers was Alexander Tyulkin, who passed on to his student the "Ufa style of painting" easily recognizable in the USSR: bold, fresh, textured, bright in color.

The landscapes of the Ural Mountains in the paintings of Alexander Panteleev are the embodiment of all that is beautiful in nature. For twelve years he painted from nature, creating lyrical landscapes in an impressionistic manner.

In 1976 the artist moved from Ufa to Vologda and lived there until the end of his life.

Alexander Panteleev entered the history of art of the twentieth century as a master who solved the most complex problems of the relationship between nature and civilization.
