June 28 the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater will close the jubilee 80th theatrical season with the world premiere of one-act ballets "Rhapsody" to the music of Sergei Rachmaninov and "The Seasons or the Mysterious Garden" by Alexander Glazunov. The premiere is timed to coincide with the anniversary of Rudolf Nureyev and the Year of Ballet in Russia.

"Rhapsody" to the music of Sergei Rachmaninov is an animated symphony. In Rhapsody, a whole story is told and shown, where you can not only hear music but also see it.

"The Seasons, or the Mysterious Garden" is a ballet written by Alexander Glazunov a century ago. His first director was the great choreographer Marius Petipa, whose two-hundredth anniversary is celebrated this year. The audience is waiting for a new reading of music, a new story about love and beauty. In neoclassical production at the junction of tradition and modernity, the language of dance and live music will unite with a new dynamic visual design created by a young team of art directors - Aidar Galeev and Maria Rednikova. The style of one of the most recognizable artists of the XIX-XX centuries will become an ally of the production.

The chief conductor of the theater, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Prize "Golden Mask" Artem Makarov will perform as the musical director and conductor of the performances.

The production will use computer graphics and animation. Solo on the piano in the ballet "Rhapsody" will be performed by laureate of international competitions Shaura Sagitova.
