The 4th All-Russian Festival-Marathon "Pesni Rossii"  (Songs of Russia) under the direction of People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina started in the Kostroma Region. Thousands of people gather for open-air concerts.

Professional groups from different regions of Russia attended the festival-marathon — the State Cossack Song Ensemble "Krinitsa" (Krasnodar), the ethnographic folklore studio "Merema" (Saransk), the ethnic-rock group "Argymak" (Ufa), the ballet "Kostroma" (Kostroma ), composer, poetess, singer Irina Gribulina, performer of traditional Chukchi throat singing Olit Tevlyanaut (Anadyr).

The Bashkir ethnic rock-group "Argymak" has been participating in the Pesni Rossii festival-marathon for the third year already. The head of the group, Rinat Ramazanov, also takes part in press conferences organized by Nadezhda Babkina with the invitation of the governor, media, and representatives of the culture of the Kostroma region.
