Legendary Bashkir ballet "Crane Song" opens the XXI International R. Nureyev Festival
Legendary Bashkir ballet of Leo Stepanov and Zagir Ismagilov "Crane Song", in which the pure love of a young couple wins envy and deceit, will open the XXI International Festival of Ballet Art of Rudolf Nureyev. According to the press service of the theater will be presented the updated scenography by People's Artist of RB, Honored Art Worker of Russia and RB, winner of the Prize of Mikhail Nesterov, Professor Rifkhat Arslanov.
The premiere of "Crane Song" was held in the theater in 1944. The author of the libretto based on the Bashkir folk legend is Gaskarov Faizi. Modern ballet version is based on the choreography of Nina Anisimova and Khalaf Safiullin as amended Shamil Teregulov.
