Over 10,000 people visited Shulgan-Tash museum during the first month

It’s been a month since the Shulgan-Tash Historical and Cultural Museum Complex, located in the Burzyansky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan has opened. Tthe solemn events dedicated to its opening were held on July 9-10 and its first visitors came on July 11. According to the press service of the museum, 10,468 people visited it in one month, 400 excursions were held.

Director of the “Shulgan-Tash” Favzil Malikov believes that the flow of tourists will only increase.

The museum complex was created specifically for the study and preservation of the rock carvings of the Shulgan-Tash cave. And most importantly, it allows visitors of the cave to see with their own eyes the Paleolithic painting of Shulgan-Tash. After all, the distant halls of the cave with the original drawings, by order of the government of the republic, have been closed to tourists since 2018. But now these masterpieces in the form of exact copies are available to all visitors of the new museum. The facsimile panels "Horses and Signs", "Eastern" and "Western" occupy a central place in the exhibition hall.
