On May 3, the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater will host a musical and poetic concert "Your acquaintance Sergei Yesenin", dedicated to the work of one of the most famous personalities of the Silver Age poetry.

The event will be a joint project of Bashopera and the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater named after M. Gafuri. The basis of the program will be the works of Sergei Yesenin performed by the Honored Artist of Russia, People's Artist of Bashkortostan, holder of the orders of Salavat Yulaev and Friendship of Peoples Oleg Khanov. The artist will perform the poems of the Russian poet, as well as the poem "Anna Snegina".

The concert will feature the orchestra of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre, the choir and soloists of the opera troupe, who will perform works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Georgy Sviridov, Roman Ledenev, Evgeny Popov, Vasily Lipatov, Grigory Ponomarenko, Salavat Nizametdinov and Ural Idelbaev.
