Bashkortostan celebrates National Costume Day today

In Bashkortostan it is celebrated the National Costume Day of the peoples of the republic today. By order of the Head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, this day is annually celebrated on the third Friday of April and the second Friday of September. Due to the epidemiological situation, the holiday was will be held online.

The Republican Center for Folk Art announced a start of  "Identity. Culture. Story. EthnicFashion. Style" flashmob. Residents of the republic are urged to post their photos in national costumes on social media under the hashtags: #милликейем #национальныйкостюм, #мкрб, #рцнтрб, #мыедины, #беҙберҙәм.

The Bashkir State Philharmonic Society prepared several events for this holiday. The entire philharmonic collective is making a musical video with a call to participate in the costume flash mob led by the art director of the stage, the Honored Artist of Bashkortostan Sulpan Askarova. On April 17, the Philharmonic invites everyone to wear their national costumes or partial paraphernalia and be inspired by a song that was specially written and performed by the national artist of Bashkortostan Arthur Tuktagulov, especially for this holiday.

The National Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of Bashkortostan under the direction of Linar Davletbaev is preparing a surprise performance in honor of the holiday.
