From 23 to 30 September in Samara was the Interregional Festival "Volga Theater". The Russian Drama Theater of the Republic of Bashkortostan presented the comedy "Smile, Gentlemen!" At the festival, and was awarded the Diploma of the festival's laureates: For the best director's work - Alexei Logachev, For a bright episode - Vladimir Kuzin.

This festival is held in Samara every two years. This year the audience was given the opportunity to see and evaluate the performances of the best theatrical groups from Samara, Kazan, Ufa, Perm, Izhevsk, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg, Naberezhnye Chelny, Togliatti, Syzran and Novokuybyshevsk.

Festival performances were held at the sites of the Samara State Academic Drama Theater. M. Gorky, the theater "Samara Square", the puppet theater "Lukomorye", the drama theater "Chamber Stage", the theater studio "Gran".
