At International festival “Suradjkund Mela”, which has officialiy participated by Minister of Culture of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova, demonstrated rich culture program. Along with exhibition of handcrafts and textile there is also everydays’s massive events to introduce Indians and their guests with rich culture of countries taking part in this festival. There are different songs and music from all peoples sounding on stages everyday.

Artur Gaysarov has played bashkirian themes on kurai and kubis and has also performed his mastery of throat singing. Laysan Mazitova performed song “Sibay kashka” and danced “Zagida” folk dance to the accompaniment of Artur Gaysarov.

“Today there were performance of our delegation on the main stage. Each country is given 10 minutes. Improvisation on kubis has caused great surprise! After that we were applauded for our performance from different participants of festival” – shared Artur Gaysarov.

In the evening there was festival parade. There were 30 countries participated in festival procession. National Bashkirian costumes were liked by many Indians.

“All the people were taking pictures of us and didn’t let us pass! After procession me and Artur had to take off our hats and national costumes to make it to the hotel. All of them are interested in our republic. Burek – our national hat – aroused great interest and all people wanted to fit it on their heads. My national costume is very different from others. Nobody has breastplates like our costume. They are made of textile and different colours, but my is made of coins” – told Laysan Mazitova.

To remind, there is International exhibition of handcrafting and textile “Suradjkund Mela” from February 3rd till February 8th. Festival looks like stylized countryside with pavilions, where you can see national masters from different Indian cities and other countries-participants that share to everybody their arts and crafts and also rural original crafts. There are many countries-participants: Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Kenia, Levant, Uganda, South Africa, Russia, Armenia, Afghanistan, Butane, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Nepal, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Canada, etc. In delegation of Bashkortostan Republic there are Culture Minister Amina Shafikova, direcror of “Agidel” Guzel Karimova, handcrafter in leather business Dinar Mazitov, TV Tamir Chanel redactor Laysan Mazitova, senior director “Agidel” Artem Yaratov, artist of Bashkiria state Filarmony curia-player Artur Gaysarov.
