The House of Friendship of the Peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Bashkir State University invite everyone to take part in the Interregional quiz "Ethnotour to the Languages ​​of the World", dedicated to the International Mother Language Day.

The quiz is designed for a wide audience, the questions cover the history, development and the distribution of languages, dialects and dialects. Here you will see questions about the languages ​​of the peoples living in Bashkortostan. Participants will learn about Russian dialects and dialects of the Tatar language, when and where the Bashkir language was first mentioned, what was the spoken language of Jews in the 19th - early 20th centuries, what Slavic language was in use among some Ufa noble families in the 16th-17th centuries.

Moreover, the language quiz offers to test your knowledge on cultural historical monuments. There are questions about the first book published in the Udmurt language, about the famous epic, included in the list of masterpieces of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind by UNESCO, about an ancient handwritten book of Kievan Rus.

The online quiz "Ethnotour to the Languages ​​of the World" provides a brief and accessible overview of the languages ​​spoken in the republic and the world, provides information about the relationship between them and what we know about their origin.

The organizers hope that this information will expand the linguistic and regional horizons of the participants.
