The National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan is preparing for the upcoming anniversary of the city. The series of pre-anniversary events also includes the exhibition “Treasures of Ancient Ufa: the Shine of Byzantine Gold and Iranian Silver”, which will open on December 23, 2022.

Unique items of jewelry were found on the territory of Ufa - Iranian silver bowls and Byzantine gold jewelry, scabbard linings, medallions and coins from necropolises. They were discovered in the historical center of the capital of the republic in the last century. Artifacts of "distant import" demonstrate the role of the Ufa Peninsula in the Middle Ages as an administrative, commercial and craft center. The discovered finds indicate the centuries-old connections of the Urals with the civilizations of the East.
