I didn’t have time to go through one premiere at the National Youth Theater named after M.Karim, as work on a new performance is already in full swing. Director Musalim Kulbaev and the Russian troupe have begun work on a new performance on the play “The Humiliated” by Zainab Biisheva. The premiere is scheduled for the second half of November.
“The work itself belongs to the golden fund of Bashkir literature, the theater is interested in excellent literature. The performance will be timed to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan and to the 110th anniversary of Zainab Biisheva,” Musalim Georgievich notes.
“Humiliated,” a drama in two acts, a drama about growing up, shaping and becoming a little man in times of historical upheaval of pre-revolutionary years. Young Emesh, poor daughter Baigilda, not easy in the house of a cruel stepmother. But the girl remains a bright, impressionable and inquisitive child, able to maintain self-esteem, regardless of any test. Through the perception of Yemesh, an epic canvas of the life of the Bashkir village, filled with love dramas and social upheavals, is presented. It seems this time is only to survive, but Emesh feels otherwise.
