The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Amina Shafikova, took part in the opening ceremony of the Year of Theater in Russia at the Bashkir State Drama Theater. Gafuri.

Amina Ivnievna on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan congratulated all those present on the holiday.

    “Today the Year of Theater starts in our republic, which was announced by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in Russia. In Bashkortostan, 12 professional theaters are actively and successfully operating, 2,200 folk theater groups - this is a huge theatrical mass that creates wonders on stage. Over the year, professional theaters attend more than a million spectators, and we hope that in the Year of the Theater there will be more of them, and more of our citizens will love the theater. Love the theater as I love it”, - said the minister.

Amina Ivnievna noted that the upcoming Year of Theater will be interesting and intense. According to her, in the route of the Theater Marathon, which starts in Vladivostok in January, Bashkortostan is entered, and Ufa will take on theatrical events of a large marathon. Also in 2019, the seventh International Festival of Turkic-speaking theaters "Tuganlyk" will be held - Ufa will host theater groups of small cities at the Theater Decade.

After the opening ceremony, the long-awaited premiere of the performance on the Bashkir folk epic “Ural Batyr” took place on the theater stage. The author of the performance, the director is People’s Artist of Russia Andrei Borisov.

Almost the whole theater troupe is engaged in the performance, the role of the Urals is performed by the winner of the Republican Youth Prize named after Sh.Bichić Rinat Baymurzin, Shulgen - Ruslan Khaisarov, Samrau - People’s Artist of the Republic of Belarus, laureate of the S.Yulayev State Prize Khurmatulla Utyashev, Khomay - Gulnaz Khaysar S.S. the villain Kakhkah plays on the stage honored artist of the Republic of Belarus Irek Bulatov. The performance draws the viewer's attention from the first seconds: unusual technologies are applied for the theater, especially for the premiere, the theater has acquired a video-animation grid, to which strange creatures from the epic and the elements are broadcast. The famous horse Akbuzat is represented in a winged moving platform, the costumes of the heroes are striking in the richness of the artist’s imagination. Theatrical visualization of the epic, as Borisov called it, showed the birth of the Bashkir people and its symbol - kurai. The author of the performance thanked the actors and the entire working group, in particular, expressed his gratitude to the honored cultural worker of the Republic of Belarus Rozalia Sultangareva for the provided melodies of the kubiirs and ceremonial actions. “We had an unexpected junction of technology and an ancient epic,” - said the director.

Recall, the performance is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the republic and the centenary of the theater itself. In the history of the theater, this is already the second appeal to the epic “Ural Batyr”. The first production was carried out by director R.Khakimov in 2006.

Today, celebrations are held throughout the country. Interactions, flashmobs, exhibitions, creative meetings, and, of course, premiere performances and already beloved performances are organized in all theaters. Municipal formations have joined the action - similar projects are being launched in rural clubs.
