Today, the grand opening of an exhibition of works by Turkish artists Murat, Elizabeth and Turgut Poura was held at the Bashkir Art Museum of M.Nesterov.

The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of Father Murat Poura - a sculptor and painter, founder of the Izmir Museum of Sculpture and Painting Turgut Poura, famous in Turkey and beyond its borders. The exhibition was born thanks to its ideological inspirer - Miziyev Kanshaubi Adraevich, who worked for many years as the Representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Republic of Turkey. Kanshaubi Adraevich made a significant contribution to strengthening ties between Bashkortostan and Turkey in the fields of culture and education.

At the opening of the first exhibition of Turkish artists in the Nesterov Museum gathered friends Kanshaubi Adraevich, admirers of the talent of the Pura family, students of artistic direction and citizens. Also at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic Altynbayev Ranis, the Deputy Head of the Administration of Ufa Gazizov Rustem, the Head of the Administration of the Kirov District of Ufa Khalilov Dinar and others.

Director of the Bashkir Art Museum Airat Teregulov noted that in Ufa there had not been foreign exhibitions for a long time with the personal presence of the authors. "It is gratifying that we have a wonderful opportunity to see the works of artists and to communicate with them live".

Miziyev Kanshaubi thanked for the warm welcome and noted the importance of bilateral cooperation: “I would like to say that our relations with Turkey have been fruitfully developing for many years. I thank the Ministry of Culture of the Republic, the Art Museum of M.Nesterov, which made it possible for our project to come true. Why these creators? Because it is one family - three versatile, talented artists. Father, Turgut Poura - one of the most famous sculptors of the country, a public figure. This trio will, of course, bring our peoples closer together, and I hope for the further development of cooperation”.

The artists themselves thanked the organizers and the press for the assistance and full support of the project.

“Everyone here is very helpful and pleasant people. I think such fruitful cooperation is possible thanks to such people, in particular, the museum staff. Today I would like together with you to remember my father, who was a high professional, an artist with a capital letter, who left a mark in the history of Turkey, ”said Murat Pura.

Murata's wife, Elizabeth, told the guests about her unusual textile panels, painting on glass, and her impressions of Ufa.

The exhibition occupies the entire second floor of the new museum building and will run until September 2, 2018.
