The jubilee year for the orchestra is coming to an end - and it can be said that it was a successful. These are a performance at the International Jazz Festival “Triumph of Jazz” by Igor Butman, the International Pink Panther jazz festival with Igor Butman, Greta Panattiere and other stars. This year the band recorded a CD with Grammy nominee Lyudmila Swarovskaya, took part in the gala concert of the International Open Vocal Competition Jazz Festival “JAZZ BIRDS - 2018”, and ends the season with a big concert “Jazz and Not Only”.

Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Shamil Abdrakov read the congratulations to the orchestra from Minister Amina Shafikova:

The orchestra has highly skilled musicians who are well versed in the art of improvisation, these are saxophonists, trumpeters, trombonists, violinists and a rhythm group. All these years, the Pop and Jazz Orchestra has been conducting active concert activities, delighting listeners of Bashkortostan and the regions of Russia with its art. The performances of the orchestra are enthusiastically perceived by the public and collect full halls, and numerous positive reviews confirm the sincere love of the audience for the orchestra and jazz music. I sincerely congratulate you on your anniversary and wish you further creative success, new bright projects in the field of jazz music, ”the message says. On his behalf, Shamil Failievich thanked the artistic director and conductor, Oleg Kasimov, for his professionalism and dedication to the profession and wished him to achieve new heights.

Today EDO presented a concert with the participation of Russian jazz stars: People’s Artist of Russia David Goloshchekin, headliners of international jazz forums from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yaroslavl, Lyudmila Svarovskaya, Karina Kozhevnikova and Alina Rostotskaya. The audience was also pleased with the art project “TenorA of the XXI Century”, soloists of the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society Polina Kobets, Siyavush Shermatzade, Dina Khusayenova, Salavat Khalilov. The choir choir, who performed the Bashkir folk song “Synrau Torn” with the orchestra, became an ornament of the concert. That evening, the stage of the Bashkortostan State Concert Hall sounded the classics of jazz, folk motifs, the orchestra presented unique compositions from the collection “Jazz tales” as well as compositions from the “Jazz Standard” CD.
