On March 17, a full-length feature film “The First Republic” directed by Bulat Yusupov will be released in Ufa cinemas. The tape is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the creation of Bashkortostan. Today in the cinema "Rodina" a press screening of the film took place, where journalists and filmmakers gathered.

Filming began in May 2018 and lasted 56 shifts. The main work took place in the pavilion of the film studio “Bashkortostan”; the historical center of Ufa with the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, the Chaliapin Concert Hall also hit the picture.

According to the director, this picture is about the people who created the story. The film consists of several chapters, each of which refers to outstanding public and political figures for the republic, among them Valiulla Murtazin-Imansky, Gaziz Almukhametov, Faizi Gaskarov, Hadia Davletshina, Dauth Yluty and others. Figures who put all their strength into the formation of culture, politics and education of the republic, and then got into the merciless machine of power.

    "I am always interested in personalities followed by big things that influenced the development of the republic. I, as a researcher, try to study these people, understand their inner motivation. I hope the picture will be useful for today's generation - we must remember these people and learn from them "- says the director of the film Bulat Yusupov.

    “I feel tired, because we have done a lot of work, more than we expected. I really hope for spectator success. I wanted to tell this story emotionally and integrally, so that it remains in the memory of the viewer, ”the director says.

The director has assembled an impressive team of leading actors of the republic, almost all theaters. The script is written by the national artist of Russia and Bashkortostan Tansulpan Babicheva and the teacher of the Bashkir language, the scientific consultant Gulsyak Salamatova. The composer is the Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rishat Sagitov. Produced by Leonid Filinov, director of the Live Ribbon film company.

    Scriptwriter Tansulpan Babicheva notes that emotions from the film and events of those years are joy with tears in their eyes. “This is life, not a fictional story, this is what our fathers and grandfathers lived for the future generation. They built the republic of that time, ”she says.

    Ruslan Khaisarov, who played the role of the founder of the Bashkir Valiulla Murtazin-Imansky theater, about working on the film: “We had a long discussion with the director, with the screenwriter, what I should be. With Tanslupan Dagiyevna we talked a lot, she, as an outstanding actress of the drama theater, as no one knows and feels those who stood at the base of the theater. She shared her impressions as it could be. There was no goal to make a copy of someone else, but we tried to convey the spirit of that time, the spirit of the young theater. It seems to me that the strongest scene is in the final when prominent figures meet in the same cell of the prison before being shot. ”

The film ends on a bitter note - it is said about July 10, 1938, when Valiulla Murtazin-Imansky, Makarim Magadeev, Gaziz Almukhametov, Gubay Davletshin, Daut Yulty and other prominent Bashkir leaders were sentenced to death. For the period from the late 20s to the early 50s of the twentieth century, in Bashkortostan, according to official figures, more than 50 thousand people were repressed ...

The film will be shown in the Rodina cinema from March 18, in the Ultra and Kinoprostore complex from March 17.
