Today, March 31, the Republican holiday of the spring equinox "Navruz - 2019" was held on a large area of ​​the agropark "EurAsia". Organizers: the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Administration of Ufa, the Assembly of the Peoples of the Republic of Belarus, the House of Friendship of the Peoples of the Republic of Belarus and the republican national-cultural public associations.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Ranis Altynbayev, Deputy Head of Administration of the City District of Ufa Alina Suleymanova, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Assembly of Peoples of the Republic of Belarus Zugur Rakhmatullina, Director of the House of Friendship of Peoples of Belarus Azat Ibrahimov, Ufimians and guests of the capital.

    “Today, Navruz-Bayram is celebrated not only by the Iranian-Türkic peoples, but also by all the inhabitants of the republic. It is noteworthy that this year it is being held at the new site. And today, Friendship of Peoples Avenue united representatives of different peoples in the true friendly atmosphere of the spring holiday, ”said Ranis Raisovich and on behalf of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus congratulated all those present.

Within the framework of the holiday, they held the first Ufa plov championship. Different types of eastern pilaf were prepared in national yurts, as well as the national Uzbek dish "sumalak".

The contestants were judged by a jury chaired by Azamat Almukhametov, director of the TV company “All Ufa”. According to the results of the championship, the winners in various nominations were determined. The diploma “Pilaf Navruz - 2019” was given to the authors of the Samarkand plov, they also became winners in the nomination “Pilot sympathies of the media”. In other nominations Azerbaijan plov, Bashkir, Namangand, Tajik, Tatar, Tashkent and Uzbek were awarded.

The guests could get acquainted with the ethnic groups living in the republic. The Bashkirs, Tatars, Tajiks, Uzbeks, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Azeris, Dagestanis, Kazakhs and many others demonstrated their national culture. Soloists and creative groups from all over Bashkortostan, as well as guests from neighboring republics presented a colorful music and dance palette. Professional, amateur singers and creative groups, choreographic and instrumental ensembles took part in the big concert.

The holiday "Navruz - 2019" aroused great interest among residents of the republic. The organizers expressed the hope that the Agropark "Eurasia" will become a permanent platform for the celebration of the spring equinox.

Recall that in Bashkortostan Nowruz-bayram has been held at the republican level since 2000. In 2009, the holiday was included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind.
