For already 22 years, the musical Ufa has been meeting the spring together with the jazz festival "The Pink Panther". Usually, musicians from all over the world come to Ufa these days, delighting the audience and giving new impressions. And today, on April 6, the opening of the XXII International Jazz Festival "Pink Panther" was held in the Great Hall of the Bashkir Philharmonic.

The artistic director of the festival - Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Kasimov greeted the spectators and guests of the festival: "There are many forms for jazz, but most importantly - performers. This year we tried, and you are waiting for an abundance of new names, which is the main decoration of the festival, "Oleg Kasimov said. It should be noted that for all three days traditionally guests on the stage will be accompanied by the "Big-band BGF", under the direction of Oleg Kasimov, - the instrumental basis of the festival.

In the foyer of the Philharmonic, during the festival spectators are waiting for dancing, jazz installation, and an exhibition of photographs - the story of the "Pink Panther".

The music program of the first day was opened by the youngest soloist of this year, guitarist Nikita Boldyrev. Nikita is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions. Stylistically, his repertoire can be described as "jazz in classical guitar" and "fingerstyle." In 2001, the musician was included in the World Records Book as "setting the world record for the speed of mastering the guitar repertoire" (the formulation of the Russian bureau for the registration of records). In 2006 he was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation for the support of talented youth.

The program was continued by Lyudmila Svarovskaya, a Russian jazz singer, who entered the prestigious long-list of the Grammy Academy of Music, the laureate of the independent "Public Recognition" award, headliner and founder of the international vocal jazz festival-festival Jazz-birds, founder and head of the pop and jazz studio vocals "Calling."

The second branch of the concert was decorated with the performance of the headliner of the festival - John Marshall. An outstanding American jazz trumpeter once worked with the greatest jazz musicians - Buddy Rich, Mel Lewis, Jerry Mullig, studied with the great Charmin Caruso, as well as jazz trumpeter Lonnie Hiller. At the same time he took lessons from famous musicians, and also supervised the jazz quintet "The Bopera House".
