On October 10, a ceremonial meeting devoted to the Day of the Republic was held at the State Concert Committee "Bashkortostan". The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov made a congratulatory speech.

The head of the region noted that creative projects carried out in the republic are becoming significant events not only within Bashkortostan, but also throughout Russia.

“Creative forums held in our republic, arts festivals — Art-Ufa, Heart of Eurasia, Shalyapin Evenings in Ufa, the Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition and many others — become significant events in the cultural life of the country. In accordance with the decree of the President of Russia, systematic preparations are being made for the holding of the 6th World Folkloriad in Bashkortostan in 2020. At the Aksakov festival, for the first time, there was a ceremony of awarding the state award in fine arts named after Mikhail Nesterov established last year”, Rustem Zakievich stressed.

The head of the republic spoke about the upcoming centenary of Bashkortostan and other anniversaries:

“The next year was marked by a historical event for us - the 100th anniversary of the formation of the republic. This date is dear to all of us. I am sure that it will further unite our society, help us move more energetically based on rich traditions to new horizons. During the anniversary year, large-scale concert programs, cultural and educational projects will take place, exhibitions, scientific and practical conferences will be held. In addition, 111 objects are being built with a total amount of financing of more than 46 billion rubles. New schools, kindergartens, hospitals, clinics, cultural and sports facilities, engineering infrastructure will serve the people of the republic for many years. In 2019, the 100th anniversary of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim, the Bashkir State Academic Drama Theater named after Mazhit Gafuri, the archival service of the republic, and the 80th anniversary of the Faizi Gaskarov Folk Dance Ensemble will also be celebrated. All these dates will become an integral part of the anniversary celebrations”.

At the end of his speech, the head of Bashkortostan thanked all those who work for the benefit of Bashkortostan and all of Russia, and contribute to the strengthening and prosperity of the Fatherland.

After the official part, a festive concert was held with the participation of leading bands and soloists of Bashkortostan.
