Representatives of the peoples of the Volga region, Central Asia and the Caucasus, students from China, India, Vietnam, and Africa met in the Salavat Yulaev Square today as part of the International Festival "The Heart of Eurasia". All this in order to establish a new record of Russia - "The most massive spiral dance in national costumes."
A colorful column of bright and distinct nationalities started from Salavat Yulaev Square and proceeded to the ethnical park "Vatan", where it was lined up in one friendly round dance. It was here that the record was fixed. The certificate on setting a record was presented to the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Amine Shafikova by Stanislav Konenko, the editor-in-chief of the Russian Book of Records.
"I congratulate you! This, of course, is an impressive event, an impressive record. I managed to record many different events, but today's event is one of those that grandchildren tell about", Stanislav Konenko said.
The record was set thanks to 1,192 people who came in national costumes. The youngest participant in the parade was a two-year-old Ramadan, who already has his own Bashkir national costume.
Minister of Culture of the Republic Amina Shafikova also took part in the establishment of the record, coming to the holiday in a national costume.
"It's great to see that we are such friendly people! Let our Bashkortostan, our great Russia, prosper. This friendship of the peoples is strong in our country, and today we have done a great job, thank you to every participant of the parade!" - the Minister congratulated all with a significant event.
