Today in Ufa, the names of the winners of the All-Russian festival of sesen (narrators) became known. The winner of the folklore competition became Mavletbai Yamaletdinov from Uchaly. Poet, writer, winner of the M. Murtazin literary prize, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Bashkortostan Mavletbai Baygildeevich also won the Special Prize named after Mukhametsha Burangulov.

The closing of the festival and awarding took place today in the concert hall of Gaskarov GAANT. The event was visited by the Minister of Culture of the republic Amina Shafikova.

“Story is one of the oldest forms of art, thanks to which we today have a huge baggage of cultural heritage. It was the Seseni who passed on from the generation to the most intimate. I thank everyone who came to us from all over the country to demonstrate their skills, show the heritage of their people. It is wonderful that children stand on a stage along with the older generation, which means that the art of storytelling has a future”, - said Amina Ivnievna.

The festival was attended by narrators (seseni, akyns, dzhangarchi, ashugi, kaichi, manaschi, olonkhosuts, performers of epics, mugham, kui and other oral folk art) from the Republics of Bashkortostan, Komi, Dagestan, Sakha (Yakutia), Buryatia, Mariy El , KhMAO, Moscow and Magnitogorsk.

Chairwoman of the competition jury - holder of the order S. Yulaeva Rosalia Sultangareyeva thanked all the participants for preserving the heritage, for their excellence and atmosphere, and also presented the gold gilded badges and diplomas to the laureates of the competition. They are: Ilya Churkin (Komi Republic), Guldar Akhtyamova (Burzyan District), Miras Izyanbaev (Sibai), Islam Tukhvatullin (Ufa), Zularam Snigirev (Davlekanovsky District), “Dioluo” Folklore Ensemble (Republic of Sakha Yakutia) , Kusamishev Shamil (Sibay), school of sesenov BSPU named after M.Akmullah (Ufa).

A jury member, honorary professor at Issyk-Kul State University, Honored Culture Worker of Kyrgyzstan Talantaly Bakchiev noted a high level of performance among the participants.

I first heard the epic "Ural-Batyr" in all its manifestations and different manners of performance in the homeland of the epic itself. Also here for the first time I heard the performance of Russian antiquity live, which is extremely rare today. I wish good luck to this project, let it become a long-liver. During these days, various events took place at the festival: an exhibition of items of national merchandise, jewelry, musical instruments; interactive show "Open Yurt" with the participation of scientists of the republic, folklorists and researchers of the epics of the world of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, etc. Today an International Scientific and Practical Conference on the theme: "Mukhametsha Burangulov - sesen, playwright, public figure" took place anniversary of the birth of M. Burangulov.
