The film "Three letters" has passed the competitive selection and will take part in the III Youth Film Festival of short films about the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War "BREAK ON MOVIES" (Saint-Petersburg).
The festival is organized by the Foundation for Social Support of Population "Bridge of Generations".
The film festival of the youth short film "Break for cinema", dedicated to the theme of the Great Patriotic War and World War II, was established in September 2014 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day. The competition program of the festival unites short films on the theme of the Great Patriotic War from university students to independent directors.
In particular, one of the results of the first festival was that in May 2015, by the Victory Day, the organizers of the film festival prepared a special program for short films by young directors not only in Russia but also in Europe on the theme of the Second World War. The program was shown in the framework of European tours in 10 capitals of Europe, where fascism became the blackest page in history. These are the cities liberated during the offensive operations of the Soviet Army in 1944-1945: Warsaw, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Vienna, Belgrade, Kaliningrad, Vilnius, Tallinn and Riga.
The competition selects films that have a look at the events of more than 70 years ago by the eyes of modern young people, whose desire to express themselves on this topic is dictated solely by personal and creative motives. This is an honest movie, unbiased and non-commercial, from the descendants of those who fought and won.
According to director Ruslan Yultayev and screenwriter Damir Yusupov, such events as recognition of Bashkir films at international and national film festivals can not but inspire. This prompts even more competently and scrupulously to prepare for a new film, which has already been filmed already this spring for the month of May.
